Monkeys can be found in almost every zoo in this world. They are one of the most common attractions in a zoo. There are many types of monkeys in this world. And every zoo tries to inhabit many different kinds of monkeys possible. Every different type of monkey has its own characteristics or traits defining their kind.
The different types may also depend on localization. Climate, weather plays a vital role. Some types don’t do well in sunny climate, while some, not in cold climate. Even though there are different types of monkeys, some types might prove difficult to differentiate. They may look similar but they differ in their characteristics. Usually, monkeys live in forests as a large group of family of same kind. They go in groups or troops to hunt food.

Monkeys usually have a boasting characteristic. If you go to a zoo, you might be able to sight a monkey trying to show off their skills. They try to show how clever and intelligent they are. Peeling banana skins before eating it is one of the common characteristics which suggest that monkeys are clever. An example for different traits in monkeys is in the case of a squirrel monkey, where it can balance its whole body with its long tail.
A squirrel monkey can do all the things with its tail, like doing it with its hands. Another different type of monkey is the howler monkey, which is the loudest among the types. It has a habit of howling at the beginning and at the end of the day, which can be heard for 3 miles. Similarly, there are many different types of monkeys which differ not only in their types but also in their traits.
