Everyone knows about monkeys. They are those intelligent, agile creatures found in large quantities in jungles. They are found almost in all countries in this world. They are divided into two types – old world monkeys and new world monkeys. The difference between these two types of monkeys is usually their physical traits and maybe also their localization. They are from the kingdom Animalia.
They are of mammalian class and from the order primates. Primates are divided into three groups. Monkeys form the first two groups of primates, while the third being the apes. There are approximately around 250 different types of monkeys in this world. Every type has its own distinguishable trait and own localization.

Monkeys usually live in large groups or troops and they hunt for food together. They usually live in tropical rain forests. Hunters hunt the parent monkey. They kill the parent monkey and take their babies to zoos or houses as pets. Monkeys are also used by many scientists for their research work. In 1949, U S sent the first monkey named Albert II into space. They usually consume fruits, grass, etc. When bred under captivity, a monkey can live for around forty five years. There are some amazing facts about monkeys.
They usually never catch cold and a yawning of a monkey usually suggests that it’s tired or is mad. Monkeys are intelligent. They peel the banana skin before eating it. Monkeys can breed at any time of the year. They don’t have any specific season for breeding. Interestingly, monkeys use their vocals, facial and body expressions to communicate. Similarly, there are many interesting facts and information which keeps people amazed about these long living animals.
